Seventeen students in the Computerized Business Applications (CBA) classes at Mena High School recently earned their Word 2010 certification through a rigorous testing process. The Microsoft Office Specialist program enables candidates to show that they have something exceptional to offer-proven expertise in Microsoft programs. Recognized by businesses and schools around the world, over 4 million certifications have been obtained in over 100 different countries.
The students who now have the MOS Word 2010 certification are Jordan Bass,
Marcos Castillo, Isaiah Fair, Alison Hargis, Jarred Harley, Carissa Gordon, Ivy Gunn, Hailey Knittig, Patrick McCarty, Jackie Minton, Ashley Philpot, Ivy Powell, Nick Renard, Tyler Richardson, Dalton Robbins, Natalie Rose, and Hudson Ulmer.
The Microsoft Office Specialist certification validates through the use of exams that specific skill sets within the applicable Microsoft Office programs have been obtained. Later in the school year, students will have a similar opportunity to show their expertise in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint. These classes are taught by Molly Lindsey.
