Mena High School senior Sealy Thigpen signed on with Cowley College on Thursday, April 13, 2017, to play volleyball at the junior college that is located in Arkansas City, Kansas. Thigpen received a full athletic scholarship to the school. Her father, David Thigpen, said the head coach has been recruiting her since she was a sophomore and recently switched to Cowley College from Southern Arkansas University, encouraging Sealy to follow. She is shown pictured above with her parents, David and Rhonda Thigpen, and Mena High School Volleyball Coach, Brad Lyle.
