BY BARBARA M. TOBIAS –
Lorraine Timmerman will teach a class in floral painting using transparent watercolor at Mena Art Gallery on six successive Tuesdays starting Tuesday, September 3 and finishing on Tuesday, October 8. Each class will start at 6 pm and end at 8:30 pm. Fee for the complete series is $40 with all proceeds going to support the gallery. If you’ve admired those delicate botanical watercolors Lorraine does so well, here’s your chance to learn how. The class will focus on techniques in transparent watercolor, including flower anatomy, mixing colors, shading, and composition. If you have any questions about the class, please call the gallery, and we’ll get answers for you.
To register, either drop by the gallery at 607 Mena Street during regular hours (11 am to 2 pm Tuesdays, 10 am to 3 pm Wednesdays through Saturdays) or call the gallery at 479-394-3880.
