Cossatot River Schools will dismiss at 9:30 a.m.
Mena Public Schools, Bethel Christian, and the Acorn Campus of the Ouachita River Schools will dismiss at 10 a.m.
First Baptist Church After School Zone, fellowship meal and evening services are cancelled.
Dallas Avenue Baptist Church, Mena Church of God, First United Methodist Church, Penuel Assembly of God, Bethel Baptist Church, Concord Baptist Church, First Assembly of God, Cornerstone Church, and Gilham First Baptist have also cancelled services for Wednesday evening.
The Crossing has cancelled Hebron, Men’s groups, or Women’s Bible Study Wednesday evening.
All classes for Dream Spinners are cancelled for Wednesday evening.
The Tyson Grannis Plant will not be operating tonight or Thursday.
The Mena Polk County Chamber of Commerce office is closed.
Many delivery stops in South Polk County for the Polk County Pulse will be delayed.
Smithville Public Schools has cancelled classes for Thursday, January 9.
Officials are responding to multiple accidents along Hwy 8 W and Hwy 71 so please drive with extreme caution. They are warning of “black ice” and encourage everyone to not be traveling on the roads unless it is necessary.
