Louise Durham Elementary held its 6th annual WatchD.O.G.S. Dads and Kids Pizza Night, and the cafeteria was packed as nearly 300 dads and students attended!! Former Superintendent of Mena Public Schools, John Ponder, spoke on the impact fathers and father-figures can have in their student’s life. He encouraged the men in the audience to make the time to spend with their student and ultimately, to spend a day at LDES as a male role model. WatchD.O.G.S. coordinator, Linda Collins, is very excited by the turnout and encourages the men who attended to go by the Administration Office to get their paperwork completed as soon as possible so they may volunteer as a WatchD.O.G.S. dad!
