The Acorn fourth grade girls basketball team just finished up their very impressive season, with a record of 12-1. The Lady Tigers compete in the Tri-County League, which consists of teams from Acorn, Mena, Kirby, Oden, and Caddo Hills. With wins over Oden (26-2) and Caddo Hills (20-7), the young team from Acorn won their respective Tri-County League Championship. Adding to their winning resume, the Lady Tigers went on to win the DeQueen Peewee Tournament, defeating Nashville (19-3) and DeQueen Gold (16-15).
James Spradlin, head coach of the Lady Tigers, says him team averages nineteen points a game on the offensive side, led by KaitLynn Letter. He adds that their fierce defense gave up an average of only six points a game.
The Acorn fourth grade Lady Tigers consists of KaitLynn Ledbetter, Taylor Watts, Kylee Johnson, Summer Nix, Josie Dollar, Chloie Smith, Lacy McEntire, Macy McEntire, Olivia Tedder, and Sheridyn Sallee. The Lady Tigers are coached by James Spradlin.
