The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will be sponsoring the annual Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26th. This event will be held at the front door of the Polk County Courthouse, beginning at 10 AM and ending at 1PM. Officials will be collecting prescription medications that are no longer needed or are old and out of date, so that they can be disposed of in a safe manner.
The department will also be partnering with Acts of Love Food Bank at this event to collect food items. All food donated that day will be distributed to local food banks to help those in the local communities.
