
She was born June 8, 1957 in Mena, Arkansas to the late Luther S. Willis and the late Ellen McCravens Willis. She was happily married to her husband of 44 years, Johnnie Allen. Brenda worked for Aalf’s for 15 years and was a member of the Gospel Light House Church in Waldron, Arkansas. She loved her church family, and was always eager to help where it was needed. She had a most loving and forgiving heart, which could be mirrored in her favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by husband, Johnnie Allen of the home; son, Steve Allen and wife Renea; daughter, Jessica Austin and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Dakota Allen and Jarrett Smith; sisters, Jayne Richmond and husband Gary, Marilyn Bain and husband Jimmy and Linda Watts and husband Jerry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ellen Willis, a brother, Bobby Willis, and a granddaughter, Breanna Allen.
Funeral services were held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beasley Wood Chapel with Brother Scott Jones and Brother LeRoy Bass officiating. Interment followed in Owens Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gary Richmond, Jimmy Bain, Billy Watts, Bill Johnston, Charles Edger, and Eric Bain.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Beasley Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
