Wal-Mart’s decision to raise wages for all current employees in the United States illustrates Arkansas values at the company’s core. Similarly, their new employee training and development program and new scheduling process rightly reward employees’ hard-work and loyalty with increased opportunity and responsibility. Wal-Mart’s investment in their employees demonstrates the best of corporate responsibility and why artificial government interference is unnecessary when a company understands that it succeeds when its employees are at the heart of their success.  I applaud Wal-Mart’s announcement and encourage other companies across Arkansas and the United States to follow their lead.”
