Mena Water Utilities was affected by flooding Wednesday, and Charles Pitman, general manager for Mena Water Utilities, said crews worked around weather conditions to address issues and repairs were complete Tuesday around 8:30 p.m..
Pitman reported there were at least three broken water mains, one of which provides pressure and supply to the main part of Mena.
As crews worked to valve off the section of broken line to restore pressure, parts of Mena may have experienced low pressure or no water.
Pitman said a boil order was avoided.
“We have fixed a leak and believe that we have everyone back with water,” Pitman said, noting he appreciates everyone’s patience.
“The crew worked hard today and are not yet done. Some customers may experience air or dingy water.”
If customers are experiencing issues, they are asked to run an outside faucet until it runs clear.
If the problems persist call 479-394-2769.
