The Mena Lioness Club presented checks to several local non-profit organizations recently. The Lioness presented checks to CASA, Single Parent Scholarship Program, Fresh Start Pregnancy Resource Center, the Salvation Army, Clarice’s Room of Hope, and the Polk County Backpack Program.
The Mena Lioness Club made the donations out of the proceeds from their Dinner and Auction that took place on September 24th. The Lioness chose to keep the donations local because they feel that’s where the money could be best used. A representative from the Lioness said “this community is so supportive of our auction and other fundraising events and we are so grateful for their commitment to what we do”.
