The following information was received from Polk County Sheriff Mike Godfrey for the week of August 12 – August 18, 2013. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.
August 12, 2013
Arrested was Daniela Salazar, 26, of DeQueen, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear.
Traffic stop on Highway 246 West near Hatfield led to the arrest of Marcelino Williamson, 24, of Mount Ida, on Charges of Public Intoxication and No Vehicle Tags.
Report from complainant on Polk 96 near the Acorn community of the break-in and theft of a television and jewelry box, totaling losses at $2,100.00. Investigation continues.
Arrested was Theresa L. Czarnetzki, 37, of Fort Smith, on a Warrant for Probation Violation.
Arrested was Ronald W. Irwin, 56, of Glenwood, on a Warrant for Failure to Appear.
August 13, 2013
Arrested was James E. Stewart, 38, of Waldron, on Charges of Carrying a Weapon and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
Report from complainant on Chisum Trail Lane near the Potter community of the vandalism of a mailbox and the theft of scrap metal, totaling losses at $50.00. Investigation continues.
Arrested was Michael R. Delmastro, 33, of Mena, on Charges of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Arrested was Mark W. Furguson, 24, of Mena, on Charges of Breaking or Entering and Theft of Property.

Report from complainant on Polk 76 E near Mena that someone had ran over and killed his dog. Investigation continues.
August 16, 2013
Traffic stop on Reeves Avenue in Mena led to the arrest of Logan E. Pitts, 34, of Mena, on Charges of Reckless Driving and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
August 17, 2013
Report from complainant on Polk 136 near Cove of unauthorized persons in a shop building, and the theft of tools and electronics, valued at $1,500.00. Investigation continues.
Report from complainant on Polk 29 near Hatfield of a person refusing to leave a residence led to the arrest of James D. Cochran, 29, of Hatfield, on a Charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Report of a disturbance on Polk 36 near Hatfield. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Arrested was Justin M. Cannon, 25, of Mena, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.
Arrested was Mathew K. Scott, 23, of Mena, on a Warrant for two counts of Failure to Comply with a Court Order.

Report from an organization on Highway 71 South in Hatfield of the theft of household goods, electronics and exercise equipment, all valued at $130.00. Investigation continues.
Report from complainant on Highway 71 South near Cove of the theft of an ATV valued at $10,000.00. Investigation continues.
Arrested was Bacil E. Smith, 29, of Amity, on a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.
Report from complainant on Highway 71 South near the Potter community of the theft of an ATV valued at $8,500.00. Investigation continues.
Report from walk-in complainant of someone threatening their life. Information has been provided to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for further consideration.
Arrested was Royce T. Green, 37, of Mena, on a Charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Warrant for Failure to Comply with a Court Order.
