Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Polk 64 near Shady in reference to a disturbance leading to the arrest of Dakota Higgins, 24, of Mena on a charge of 3rd Degree Domestic Battery.

 

July 14, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 375 W near Potter in reference to the unauthorized use of a vehicle by a juvenile.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 246 E near Vandervoort in reference to a UTV accident.

 

July 15, 2026

Chicoty Shomo, 43, of Grannis was arrested on three warrants for Violation of a No Contact Order.

Deputies responded to a report of counterfeit money.

Kyle Scheppman, 35, of Hatfield was arrested on a Body Attachment Warrant.

Deputies responded to a report of damage at a county school.

 

July 16, 2026

Gordon Houser, 65, of Wickes was arrested by an officer with the Grannis Police Department on a charge of 2nd Degree Domestic Battery.

Kody Martin, 21, of Mena was arrested on a Drug Court Sanction.

Melissa Hartin, 50, of Mena was arrested on charges of Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.

 

July 17, 2026

Deputies responded to a report of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card.

David Fraser, 58, of Mena was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

Elizabeth Arbuthnot, 38, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for two counts of 3rd Degree Battery and two counts of 3rd Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Eric Revels, 42, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Tyler Everett, 34, of Mena was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant and was additionally charged with Violation of a No Contact Order. Information has been forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney for further consideration.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Hwy 8 East near Board Camp in reference to harassment.

Deputies responded to a walk-in complainant in reference to a stolen firearm and a breaking or entering.

 

July 18, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Pate Lane near Nunley in reference to a disturbance leading to the arrest of Seth Spradling, 38, of Mena on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Refusal to Submit to Arrest, and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

Rodney Morrison, 40, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for Violation of a No Contact Order.

Marcus Hackworth, 43, of Mena was arrested on a warrant for Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

July 19, 2026

Deputies were dispatched to Polk 412 near Potter in reference to an incident.

A traffic stop on Polk 71 near Yocana led to Draven Ryan, 21, of Mena being issued a citation for Careless and Prohibited Driving and No Driver’s License.

 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office worked 0 vehicle accidents this week.
