On Thursday, May 7th, Rich Mountain Community College and the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) hosted its 5th annual Job Fair in the Ouachita Center. 35 employers from across the region were represented including Queen Wilhelmina State Park, Healthy Connections, Inc., Nidec Motors, Tyson Foods, Union Bank and many more. Over 100 job seekers attended throughout the day and met with prospective employers about career opportunities available. The DWS mobile unit was available for participants who needed to complete online applications. Prior to the Job Fair, RMCC’s Career Pathways partnered with DWS to offer a Job Search Workshop on April 21st. The workshop covered resume building, successful interview tips, and job search assistance.
