[MENA, Ark.] Southwest EMS owners Robby and Sherri Hines have announced their plans to continue to show commitment to Polk County for “many years down the road.” The Hines announced that Southwest EMS has recently purchased land in Wickes and plan to start construction on a new building for their crews in the next few months. “We have had an ambulance in the south part of the county for the last 2 years,” they explained.
Southwest EMS serves Polk, Sevier, Montgomery, Crawford, and Scott counties in Arkansas. “Everyday we have 12 units 24 hours a day and 12 back up units ready if needed. As an example,” Robby adds, “in 2009 after the tornado hit, within an hour, we had 14 units sitting staffed and ready to go. This shows the dedication and commitment of Southwest EMS employees from all around the area.” As of November, Robby started his 31st year in EMS.
