Walk for Life this Saturday: Logan Lind to Perform

Fresh Start Pregnancy Resource Center will host a Walk for Life as a fundraising event for the center on April 15, at Janssen Park in Mena. Candace Riner, Interim Director of Fresh Start, said they have wanted to host the event for several years and are now in a position to do so. “My heart for this is that people will understand the value of human life. This is not a protest or march. It’s a celebration of life and fundraiser to support the work of Fresh Start Pregnancy Resource Center,” said Riner.

Logan Lind has been announced as the entertainment for the pro-life event. Born to perform, Lind delivers a foot-stomping, crowd-pleasing experience that blends original songwriting with a sound created from the Bible Belt south and Nordic Folk culture. Armed only with a weathered guitar and a beat up kick drum, this Award Winning Norwegian/American artist rocks venues with his dynamic stage presence and songs filled with depth, humor, and heart.

In addition to Lind’s performance, State Representative John Maddox, Jeanne Jordan, Prosecuting Attorney Andy Riner, and First Baptist of Mena Pastor and Chairman of Fresh Start’s Board of Directors, Russell Threet, will all speak at the event.

Riner reminds participants that it is not too late to register. The event will start with check-ins between 8:45 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., with the walk lasting from 10 a.m. until noon. The way to raise money is for individuals or teams to garner pledges from family, friends, and community members. Fresh Start’s ultimate goal is to raise $13,000 through the event that will provide a vast amount of resources through the center. Fresh Start provides educational materials, training classes, diapers and essentials, life skills, and much, much more.
