Bearcat Doubles Team of Zeb Wilson and Payton Medlin received a bye in the first round and defeated Subiaco two sets to none in the second round. Wilson and Medlin were the tournament’s number three seed. Pottsville defeated the Bearcat duo in the Semi-Final round, two sets to one. Wilson and Medlin defeated Shiloh Christian eight games to one in the consolation match to take third place.
The Mena Doubles team of Wilson and Medlin qualify to play in the State Tennis Tournament to be held October 17th at Arkansas Tech University.
Eli Cook and Ian Martin were the tournament’s number nine seed doubles team. Cook and Martin lost their first round match to Pottsville eight games to two.
The Ladycat Doubles Team of Haley Castillo and Rachel McCullum, the tournament’s number three seed, won their first round match eight games to one over Shiloh Christian, however Castillo and McCullum fell two sets to none in the second round to Pottsville.
Ladycat’s Morgan Bowling and Autumn Liles, also listed as the tourney’s number three seeds, received a buy in round one and won their second round match over Booneville two sets to none. Bowling and Liles suffered a two sets to one loss in the Semi-Finals to Pottsville, and fell nine games to seen in the third place consolation match, to qualify for the State Tournament, to Prairie Grove.
Bearcat Robert Johnson, the tournament’s number nine seed, won his first round singles match eight games to none over Shiloh Christian, but then fell two sets to none to Pottsville in the second round.
Bearcat Brynn Harvey, the tourney’s number six seed, also won his first round singles match eight games to one over Booneville, but the lost two sets to none in the second round to Subiaco.
