Tony Calandro, CEO of Healthy Connections, Inc. [HCI], is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Patrick Fox to its medical staff. Fox will continue seeing patients at his previous location at 1201 South Mena Street.
“As a seasoned healthcare provider in general medicine, including the critical care environment, Dr. Fox understands the importance of patient education, preventive medicine, and proper management of chronic health conditions,” said Calandro.
In today’s continually evolving healthcare climate, Dr. Fox explained to The Pulse that more and more physicians are choosing to be employed by healthcare facilities or hospitals rather than operating their own private practices, as has been his choice. Prior to joining HCI, Dr. Fox was employed by Mena Regional Health System, where he will still retain admission privileges. Dr. Fox said choosing this employment structure allows him to better focus on the care of his patients.
Dr. Fox said the move to HCI will allow him the opportunity to offer his patients better availability of preventive programs and that the cost for patients will be significantly cheaper. Patients will also be proud to see many of his former nurses and office staff have returned. He said patients will not be turned away due to inability to pay. Existing patients of Dr. Fox will still be required to sign a release for the medical records to be transferred to HCI.
HCI has been serving Polk County families and the surrounding area for over 15 years. At the heart of the practice, according to Calandro, is the patient-physician relationship. “Dr. Fox is a strong patient advocate and we are delighted to welcome him to our team.”
