Fields of Faith, a Fellowship of Christian Athlete (FCA) community outreach event, is coming back to Mena on Wednesday, October 9, at the Bearcat Stadium. Fields of Faith is where students and adults come to eat free pizza, worship the Lord, hear testimonies from their peers, and most importantly have the opportunity to make a commitment to Christ. Free pizza will be served at 5:30 pm and the program will start at 6:30 pm. Everyone in the Mena area is invited to this uplifting experience.
Last year over 600 people came to Fields of Faith in Mena to hear fellow students share their testimonies, challenge them to read the Bible, and to come to faith in Jesus Christ. At the invitation, 30 people come forward to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Him. These students were then counseled and encouraged to join local churches to further grow in the faith.
FCA is an interdenominational ministry to all students, not just athletes. For more than five decades, FCA has positively impacted thousands of lives for Jesus Christ though local camps and huddles in junior/senior high schools and universities. FCA’s purpose is to present to athletes, coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the local church.
