Joshua Bradley Eugene McBee

Joshua Bradley Eugene McBee went home to be with Jesus on October 25, 2020 at age 23. He left his earthly body while at Midland Memorial Hospital fighting a battle with Covid-19.

Joshua was born on July 23, 1997 to Sandy McBee Muns in Mena, AR and was later adopted by his father, George Muns. After graduating from University of Arkansas Rich Mountain with his GED in 2014 at only 16yrs of age, Joshua continued his education there and acquired a degree in Culinary Arts at a young age of 17 years. These accomplishments were made despite his diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome which is an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

He was employed by Reeves County Detention Center in Pecos, TX where he worked as a kitchen supervisor. He supervised inmate employees as they prepared meals and he taught them some of his skills and recipes that he enjoyed preparing for others. He loved drawing, writing stories, playing video games, watching anime, learning how to play the banjo, but mostly
he enjoyed spending quality time and watching movies and listening to music with his family and close friends.

Anyone who knew Joshua, knew that he was a “Gentle Giant”. He had an immense passion for being funny, loving, non-judgmental, caring, giving and being a friend and was always wanting to make people happy. His family and friends will miss him more than words can express. Joshua was reunited in Heaven with his Great Grandparents Emmett and Billye McBee of Mena, AR, Mary Lou Woodall of Nashville, AR, and his Aunt Mekka James of Mena, AR. He is survived by his parents George and Sandy Muns of Mena, AR, his Grandparents Vicki Cheshire of Mena, AR, Charles and Missy Holden of Nashville, AR, and George and Patricia Muns of Mena, AR. Joshua was a brother to Melissa Gamble of DeQueen, AR, Kyle Williams of Cove, AR, as well as Timothy and Sophia Williams of Cove, AR. He enjoyed being an Uncle to Wyatt and Raelynn Brecheisen of DeQueen, AR and Lezzly Williams of Cove, AR. He was a wonderful nephew to Brandy Youngblood and Dr. Seejil Dan of Lexington, SC, Tiffany Wert and Zanthanee Parker of Burnham, PA, Tommy and Terah Holden of Dierks, AR, Kendall Holden of Murfreesboro, AR, Donald and Nicole Muns of Mena, AR, and David and Denise Muns of Chino Hills, CA. He has numerous cousins and friends that will miss him greatly as well.

Joshua’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Union Mission Pentecostal Church of God in Mena, AR. Services will be led by Rev. Bill Dunahoo. He will then be laid to rest at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mena, AR with his “Granny and Grandad”. Services will be made live on Facebook for all friends and family who are not able to attend in person.
