Friday night, February 24th, the Acorn Lady Tigers took on the County Line Lady Indians in the Semi-Finals of the 1A Region 4 Girls Basketball Tournament at County Line High School.
Acorn was led by Tori Barrett in the first quarter, as she scored 6 of the Lady Tigers seventeen points. The Lady Indians scored only eleven points of their own, to make the score 17-11 after one quarter. County Line played a little closer to the Lady Tigers in the second quarter, as Acorn outscored the Lady Indians by only one, 15-14, making the score 32-25 in favor of the Lady Tigers at halftime.
Tori Barrett led the Lady Tigers with 10 points at the half.
County Line played very close to the Lady Tigers in the third quarter as well, as both teams put up sixteen points a piece, to make the score 48-41 going into the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, Acorn really pulled away from the Lady Indians, outscoring County Line 21-12, making the final score 69-53 in favor of the Acorn Lady Tigers.
Faith Hill led the Acorn Lady Tigers with 23 points on the night, while Tori Barrett scored 12 points of her own, Morgan Fagan 11 points, Sophie Jackson 10 points, Brooke Bates 7 points, Brittany Wilhite 4 points, and Lexi Powell 2 points.
The Acorn Lady Tigers will take on the Kirby Lady Trojans in the 1A Region 4 Basketball Tournament Championship Game on Saturday at 6:00pm at County Line High School.
