Mena Police Department July 22 – July 27, 2013

The following information was received from Polk County law enforcement agencies. The charges against those arrested are allegations and the cases are still pending in the courts. Individuals charged and whose names appear in this column may submit documentation to us at a later date that the charges have been dismissed or that they have been found innocent and we will include that information in this space in a timely manner.

July 21, 2013

Officers responded to a disturbance at a local residence.  The situation had settled when they arrived and one of the parties involved had left the premises.

Ryan Scott Tugman, 24, of Mena was charged with third degree battery after officers were called to a local residence regarding a disturbance.

July 22, 2013

Officers discovered that someone had vandalized the locks to the restrooms at Janssen Park.  No suspects at this time.

A Mena woman reported that her mother had been pushing her and being abusive.  The mother said she just wanted her daughter to leave.  The daughter got her belongings and went to stay with a friend. No charges were filed.

 July 23, 2013

Ronnie Watts, 33, of Mena was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license.  He was also charged with having expired tags.

David Wayne Chennault, 35, of Little Rock was charged with public intoxication after officers were called to local neighborhood.

Ricky Harrison, 25, of Mena was served a felon warrant from Polk County.

July 24, 2013

A Mena man reported that he is being harassed and called inappropriate names by neighborhood children.  This has been an ongoing problem and was forwarded to the juvenile authorities.

 July 25, 2013

Report was taken of several young men breaking in to a building that was formerly used as a church.  Case is pending interview of suspects.  Possible charges are commercial burglary, breaking or entering, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief.

A local man reported that someone had broken into his home.  Case is pending interview of several youths from the area.

A local man reported that several young men were trespassing on his property.  Case is pending.

July 26, 2013

A local man reported that a relative had attacked him.  Case is pending.

Tyler Wade Everett, 21, of Mena was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft of property.

 July 27, 2013

Billy Randall Powell, 31, of Mena was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after two separate calls to a local residence.

Officers completed an additional 15 reports and worked two accidents.
