Mena Schools will Celebrate Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 24th through 27th. The theme this year is ‘Bearcat Paws Don’t Touch Drugs’. “As a Community Service project we will partner with Mena High School Hub to donate dog and cat food to the Polk County Humane Society. We challenge the community to join us in our efforts,” said Mena Middle School Counselor Leilani Rose. Bags of pet food may be dropped off at any Mena School Campus.
Also in honor of Red Ribbon Week, dress up days will be held. Dress up Days and daily themes are: Tuesday, October 24th – My Future is Too Bright for Drugs – Neon Day/ Bright Colors/Sunglasses; Wednesday, October 25th – Follow your Dreams Don’t Do Drugs – PJ Day; Thursday, October 26th – Leave Drugs Behind – Throwback Thursday, dress any decade 1920’s-1990’s; Friday, October 27th – TEAM Up Against Drugs – Twins or TEAM.
Red Ribbon Week is a week to celebrate and encourage everyone to be drug free for life! Mena Schools invites all of the TEAM Mena community to join their celebration.
