If I give all my possessions to feed the poor and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. – 1 CORINTHIANS 13:3
It is necessary, sometimes, to test our motivations for everything we do. Are we living our lives and possessions in sacrifice because of our eternal love and obedience to the Lord…or in doing so, are we fulfilling a selfish need in our own lives? Do we conduct ourselves with an attitude of godly service…or are we motivated by personal ambition and conceit? If our actions, and more importantly our motivations, do not reflect the love of God…they will have no power and will certainly have no eternal value in His kingdom.
Do all that you do to the glory of the One who made us!
